The Summary Judgement class (ZMSF HC-12) are the slated replacement for the aging Victrix class battleships, originally pre gastins star not to be fully phased in for a further decade but after the Victrixs disastrous performance and its increasing support costs full Summary Judgement production has been commenced with the Victrix class being relegated to rear area patrol and training platform operations as they are sequentially mothballed or scrapped.

The heavy cruiser class is primarily built around carrying the smallest capital "true" disintegrator in the fleet. A high volume spinal system that is fed by two deploy-able quantum evaporation chambers turning an otherwise conventional rolled heavy cruiser design into a capable long range support platform or brutal close combatant.  

The Summary judgement class was initially ordered over a decade ago as the scheduled replacement for the Victrix, built around a conventional modern unibody warhull with an integrated command citadel and capable of filling all the roles the Victrix once performed including carrying both an ansible and transmat. The Transmat (at a rated safe operating range of 1,850 kilometers and requiring perfect velocity matching) is only carried as a side effect of the massive power generation supplied for the disintegrator system and its inclusion meant the elimination of the forward small craft bays and the inclusion of a forward missile magazine in its place.  

The Summary Judgement is a brute force approach designed to directly support the wall of battle and the smallest vessel in the fleet classed as a "capital" ship. From her spinal disintegrator, independently armored weapons banks to the massive dual 6,000 gallon reactors the Summary judgement just like the dreadnoughts she supports is both capable of direct assaults and extreme range engagements in extreme threat environments.

As a heavy cruiser the class is primarily fielded in Battle fleet combat squadrons and Battle Fleet took the majority of the burden and costs for her development, the Long Patrol also entering into its operational budget and under a bureaucratic "win" over Battle fleet insisted a capable general purpose bay was also installed allowing the summary judgement's logistical capacity to match the Long patrols independent operations requirement in one fell swoop.

The Summary Judgement for all its mass due to its massive power plants ([i]quite necessary to support the disintegrator[/i]) is only 18 G less capable than the conventional cruiser class now the ZMSF standard (the Market Saturation).

Summary Judgements are though in service as of the present time still under serial production but the class is still only in its 2nd tranche. As such even though over 86 are planned only 28 have been completed.


[b]Powerplant[/b]
The Summary Judgement's power plant consists of two mammoth sixth thousand gallon entropic decay reactors with wartime options for CAM boosting, two fission pebble bed reactors to assist with low output loitering, and 10 short burn exotic matter fusion plants integrated into each hellbore turret for independent operations or rapid full response.

Drive systems consist of ZMSF standard transit FTL and gravitic drive cone with full rapid maneuvering grav blades.

[b]Primary integrated armament[/b] :

20 20 centimeter Hopeworthy 15.7 Megatons / second "Long fire" (measured at an effective range of 278,500 Kilometers) collapsium barreled hellbores mounted in doubles in 10 independent operations capable turrets. An average of 14 hellbores can be brought to bare on any one target with a throw weight of 219.8 megatons per second for a sustained bombardment of an impressive 18 minutes minutes eleven  seconds before thermal purge and ejecting of all barrels would be necessary. This grants the Summary Judgement a scorching "maximum engagement" hellbore output of 239,802 megatons a gain of nearly 18 percent over the Victrix class battleships with nearly a third more effective range.
